Living In Germany

I’ve always been raised to love my country, America, while also appreciating the differences in other countries. I never thought I’d actually LIVE in another country but here I am and these are some of the things I love about Germany.

🇩🇪 It’s slow paced. I love seeing everyone walk or ride their bikes places. Almost everything is closed on Sunday so people can rest and spend time with their families. It’s kind of taught me to not be so fast paced and just enjoy life a bit more.

🇩🇪 The food is so so yummy. When we moved here I swore I’d never like German food because it’s kind of heavy but it has grown on me SO much! My favorite German dish I’ve had is schnitzel cordon bleu with German potato salad. 🤤

🇩🇪 Groceries are so fresh. When we first moved here I was so amazed at how beautiful all the groceries were. Fruits and veggies literally shine. I also love getting freshly baked bread and getting to slice it!

🇩🇪 So much history everywhere. It’s truly so crazy to be in a country filled with so much history.

I could add to this list but I’ll leave it at that! We only have a year left so I’m trying to soak it all in! There’s plenty of things I miss about America, so maybe I’ll share that as well!
