romantic date spot without breaking da bank ❤️

this cafe was the first spot to appear on my JB itinerary when my friend and i were planning our trip and we were dead set on visiting this space after stumbling across a post on this lovely space.

i think we have a thing for nature? cuz a lot of the cafes we visit tend to be shrouded in some form of greenery LOL and Rowan & Parsley was no exception. the grab driver couldn’t even find the cafe name cuz the plants covered it all…

ambience 🛋️:

when we entered the restaurant, the dining hall was really huge, and the entire area felt really cosy and welcoming! not the biggest fan of their choice of table cloth but everything else was really pretty to look at! honestly wished i could’ve seen this place at night as i’m sure it would’ve been 10 times nicer.

food 🥘:

their menu consist of pasta, meat mains and sides, and we got

1. creamy tomato prawn linguine 🍤

one turn off was how OILY it looked…not sure how much oil they had to use for it to seep out of the sauce which kinda made it look a lil unappetising. but anyways it tasted pretty decent and the prawns were really juicy too! just which they could’ve added more cream cuz it didn’t feel that creamy and still quite tangy

2. pork belly 🥩

this dish was really good, the pork was soaked in some bbq glaze? and it was pretty salty so it went very well with the finely-mashed potato!! would’ve easily beasted this meal if not for how full we already were…

i think this would be a fantastic place to go for a romantic dinner with your partner or close friends if you’re here for a 2d1n or more in JB!! so do stop by if you’re freee
