A few months ago, they suddenly announced their closure, and I was EXTREMELY devastated because this place is literally a GEM. Fast forward to today, they announced they are back in business and not only that, their entire store has been renovated to a new modern slick interior. (I have never been happier)

To be honest, this cafe is not known to many (even as a website you probably don’t know they exist) and you’ll only know about it if you’ve got friends who visited because there aren’t a lot of reviews online and not a lot of hype. Plus, if you walked past the shop, you wouldn’t even know what they are selling because they don’t have any signs!! But not anymore!! We simply do not gatekeep such gems.

They have pastries on rotation, so each time you visit, there is something new depending on the season.

Here’s a rundown of what I had this time:

Iced Tiger Mint Tea $5

Comes with a small little madeleine which was a nice touch if you didn’t order the pastry (but why wouldn’t you?). Super minty and refreshing, helps to cleanse your palette

Ouni $11

A very interesting combination, the pastry itself was filled with a generous amount of taro and served with cream and fried shallot. Yes, fried shallot. I was super perplexed by it as well. But oh boy, when I tell you everything just goes SO WELL together. It was like eating a savoury dish but at the same time it’s sweet and refreshing with the coconut sorbet. 10/10 would recommend you to try this at least once.

Choc $11

A simple chocolate pastry with caramel filling served with a side of chocolate ice cream. A very coherent dish that is hard to go wrong to be honest. I enjoyed this more than the Ouni to be honest because it was on the sweeter side although there was a bitter taste to it. The chocolate ice cream did taste like it had alcohol in it. Not sure if I was dreaming or what but I do love dishes with a side of alcohol in it to spice it up.

Overall, this is one cafe that you NEED to visit. The vibes are just immaculate and the owner is also very friendly! Do come down and try it soon before it gets crowded!
