Most affordable place to stay in Big Sur🌲

Fernwood Resort in Big Sur has been around since 1932. The resort has a variety of accommodations including tent camping, RV camping, cabins, tent cabins, adventure tents, and even a motel!

The resort is located in the heart of the Big Sur valley alongside the Big Sur river with easy access to hiking, sight seeing, beaches, whale watching and so much more. There’s a tavern on-site with a wide selection of beers on tap, cocktails, and delicious food (cue the tots!!) On Fridays and Saturdays they have live music for everyone to enjoy. The resort is centrally located and a short drive to all of the big attractions such as Pfeiffer Beach, McWay Falls, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, Bixby Bridge, and more.

I camp here every year with my family. We stay in the “Adventure Tents” because I prefer more “glamping” style accommodations, but there’s truly something for everyone and options for all budgets!

⭐️Pro tip: Book EARLY! We book about 9-12 months in advance to make sure we get our tent sites close together ⛺️
