Meditation can be very hard and especially when you are interested in starting it but don’t know how to do it, when, and what tools to use.

I started to meditate when I was in law school because I was super stressed out about classes and exams.

So I was looking for something that could ease my stress and anxiety. Made some research and came across meditation.

This was back in 2017 and I still use meditation on a daily basis to ease my stress, manage my emotions and anxiety.

But I remember back then that I was wondering “how to I start meditating? How long should I meditate? Is there some tools to help me?”

So here are things that could help you start your journey if you want to start meditating.

1- don’t overthink it: just start by sitting down on your couch on on the floor, you can even lie down. Try to breathe deeply and feel the air coming in and out of your body.

2- try 5 minutes every day: you don’t have to meditate for hours especially at the beginning. Try 5 minutes here and there, if you feel stressed out, take 5 minutes to breathe, close your eyes and feel your body

3- meditating app: if you can try to meditate with an app like Apple fitness + or you can gray also Headspace. Thèse are good app to guide you throughout your meditation. I personally use Apple fitness + and out on my AirPods after my yoga practice in the morning.
