My Post-Facial MUST HAVES!!

Sharing some of my post-facial essentials, to soothe the skin and calm down any redness and swelling

First and foremost, it is really important to ensure your skin is sufficiently hydrated and also calmed down after every facial session! If you’re like me - your skin is likely going to be going to be pretty sensitive and inflamed right after all the squeezing and extraction from each facial session. This makes it really important to ensure you are consistent in your post facial routine - and here is what I do the next few days after each session!! 🤍

🤍🤍1) Use a good Aloe Gel

The one I’m currently using is the AROMATICA Aloe Gel - which is so soothing and leaves a slightly cooling sensation! It contains 96% of Ecocert organic certified aloe vera for super moisturized skin

Why I love it?

AROMATICA Aloe Vera Gel is made from organic aloe extract, which will moisturize, soothe and balance the skin's hydration level. It absorbs quickly and is moderately tacky (this is typical of any aloe gel, and I like that it isn’t overly sticky) and the best part is - it is really effective in soothing my skin!

How I use it?

Whenever I have inflamed and red or swollen skin, I apply a REALLY THICK layer of that spot and the next morning, my skin looks and feels much better and way more calmed

2) Switch up your Aloe Gel with a Centella Gel

On days you don’t feel like using an Aloe, you can alternate between a Centella gel as well! The one I use is from BENTON -Goodbye Redness Centella Gel

pH level?

It has a slightly acidic pH level of 6 - this follow the pH of a balanced and healthy skin pH level.

How I use it?

This gel helps to soothe and calms the skin. I use it after applying toner and serum and I end it off with a thin layer of cream.

Why I love it?

This gel is lightweight on the skin and absorbs really quickly as well. Although it is gel, it has a watery consistency and melts right into my skin, leaving a cooling sensation after. With the high percentage of Centella present, it soothes the skin very quickly. This does not irritate the skin and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

This gel also does not contain alcohols, parabens and is clinically tested to be non irritating to the skin.

Overall, both the aloe and Centella gels leave a cooling sensation upon applying, and it is calming on the skin. I enjoy how it feels the moment I apply it on, it does the job of calming down your skin - just like how the aloe vera gel works. I use both alternately, although I enjoy the aloe more!
