Back then in uni, no kitchen was available in our hostel/accommodation. The rice cooker did it all for us! Even till now, my family still using rice cooker to cook porridge. It's my mom who taught us.
Here's a simple rice cooker minced meat porridge recipe:
1 cup rice
600ml water
Minced meat of your choice
Seasoning of your choice
*Can add chopped vegetables of your choice such as long beans or carrots.
*Long beans to be added after minced meat.
*Carrot to be added in the beginning of the cooking.
Just cook in a rice cooker for about 30 minutes or until the consistency you want. DO NOT COVER THE POT FULLY! DO NOT LEAVE YOUR POT UNATTENDED!
Add minced meat and seasoning. Stir well. Off the rice cooker and cover the pot for 5 minutes. Ready to serve!
