Transforming the Ikea Förhöja to this!

My husband and I love coffee and we recently decided to DIY a coffee corner in our new apartment! It’s still not fully how I envisioned it to be yet, but at least the first step is done!

This is the IKEA Forhoja kitchen trolley ($199), we thought the size is great for a coffee table top! We watched a couple of YouTube videos before deciding on this and the colour.

For the top we chose a wood stain that was a darker shade and the bottom we chose an off-white shade! We had to paint a total of 3 layers for the bottom as the white wasn’t fully sinking in. As for the top, we only did 1 layer.

We also added some knobs by drilling to the drawer from ikea and a bar handle on the side which I think elevates the entire design! Overall the process is quite easy and enjoyable :)
