High tea @ Lobby Lounge

Celebrated one of my friend’s hen’s at Lobby Lounge Intercontinental and we absolutely loved it! The interiors and atmosphere were giving off some serious Bridgeton vibes 🫖🎂

Location: Lobby lounge @ Intercontinental Hotel

Price: $64.70 after GST

We went there on a weekday, so its slightly cheaper than the weekend. They are currently serving the spring and summer high tea set. Each set came with 2 choices of drinks, which includes a range of tea and standard coffee menu. Ice cream and scones were unlimited too!

The set includes a mix of savoury and sweets which Is great so you don’t feel to overwhelm by all the sweet desserts if you prefer savoury dishes like me!

What’s on the menu:

SAVOURY

- Kami crab cake, miso aioli and scallions (personal fav)

- Turkey ham roll with sliced vegetables and Takuan (this tasted like a sushi roll 🍣)

- Baked Capsicum, brie cheese

- Asparagus cheddar quiche (tasted quite bland imo)

SCONES

- Plain english scones with spring onions

Served with strawberry rhubarb jam, apricot jam and clotted cream

SWEET

- Berries Rhubarb marmalade, berries tea mousse, elderflower coulis

- Mint ganache, lemon candied chocolate praline

- Manjari 64% chocolate mousse with cheery spice compote, chocolate crunchy base

- Poached white peach, oolong infused cream, vanilla genoise

- Caramelised apricots, almond frangipane, caramel chantilly

Overall, the food was pretty decent and we loved the ambience there. Would be a good place to celebrate special occasions for your loved ones 🤍
