🚨 Intermediate Excel Skills : Internship SOS

Thank you for the overwhelming responses from my previous post on Spicetify! 🥹💗

Currently battling with my degree, either I end it or it ends me first 💀

It’s internship (free labour) szn! Hope you guys have managed to secure internship slots and wish you good luck. I have completed my internship a year ago as Admin cum Accounts which also stands for you do whatever i pass to you okies. Just joking, I focused mostly on bookkeeping and these Excel skills did helped me along the three months. Sometimes we just come across these Excel hacks but don’t know when to use them. Hence I included some scenarios and these are based on true horror events 🤫.

Do NOT :

🚩 Manually key in data ✅ Use Get Data from Picture or PDF (depending on your document), it may not be 100% accurate but at least you can use the time to check them instead of typing the whole thing (what if you make mistake too 🥲)

🚩 Manually key in change in data in two files ✅ Utilise Get Data and then refresh using Query so any changes in File A will be automatically updated in File B

🚩 Hello pulis, do not count one by one, this defeats the purpose of using Excel ✅ Use Countif! If you have the time, can explore types of =Count and =If formula

🚩 Repetitive filling in same thing ✅ Use Data Validation and List to click from drop down

🚩 Manually highlight or change cell color 🥹 ✅ Sexy people use Conditional Formatting

🚩 Try these tips and not liking this post 😔 ✅ Like and Save, and most importantly try it out yourself

It is pretty obvious that I hate the word ‘manually’ and ‘repeat’ but that’s the fun of Excel! During my internship, I even manage to make an Excel file which calculates payroll based on the changing SOCSO contributions.
