✴️3D2N Trip to Malaga 2019✴️

🌟Occasion: Part of the rare non-solo trips during exchange, exchange groupie decided to visit Malaga in Spain because they artsy people and its the birthplace of Picasso and also to escape the winter 🥶 by finding a 'summer-like' place. airplane ticket was $60 bucks only so why not 😂

➡️ Notable memories

🔸Museo Picasso Málaga - Local museum 🖼️ featuring over 200+ Picasso's work donated by his family. meh for me but seems to attract people who are into art 3.5/5 🌟

🔸Alcazaba - old fortress built when the Turks where ruling the place. was meg 3/5 🌟

🔸Palmeral de Las Sorpresas - the waterfront promenade, rmbing walking it but dont rmb much also lol :( ?/5 🌟

🔸Teatro Romano de Málaga - old theatre 🎭 built by the ancient romans, can walk in and see see. 3/5 🌟

🔸Castillo de Gibralfaro - 1300s Moorish castle that is huge to explore and have great views over the coast once you reach the top of castle walls 4/5 🌟

🔸Museo Revello de Toro, Centre Pompidou Malaga - museum and exhibition that the group wanted to go. cant rmb much but was not complaining so 3/5 🌟

🔸Playa de la Malagueta (Málaga) - Public beach ⛱️ tbh quite chill with some bars plying the stretch. water and beach activities was not the focus of the trip so didn stay long there. not much people there also probably because spain also approaching winter. 4/5 🌟

🔸La Casa De La Cultura De Mala - Saw this bull ring from the castle and thought can go see 🐂. when we reached there we realised to got turned into a museum rofl 2/5 🌟

🔸Old Town Malaga - spent most of our nights here, the malaga church and the numerous small streets around it being the main sights. Rmb trying some local pastry but dnt rmb the name.

🔺the crowd in malaga is very young, 20-30s and hardly see old people in town so its very lively at night🍻 and considerably cheaper by western europe standards! I SEEN NO OTHER ASIANS THERE, we were the only ones and get alot of stares like we exotic animals 😂 but people for most parts are friendly

🔺if you into culture and museums, it will be a very nice experience because malaga was controlled by different empires in the past and you can see these cultures evidently in the difference in architectures and museums across the town (Romans, Islamic, Christianity, Moorish influences intertwine together)

🤔 Reflection

🔸Even though was just a adhoc trip for me, i enjoyed the lively vibes and the atmosphere of the town. felt like a chill summer day in europe but at a cooling weather. We held off from going out of the main town area (there were other attractions out in the nearby mountains) for some reason that i cant remember also already hahaha. overall it was a great trip to experience the lesser seen parts of Europe nonetheless
