PUMPKIN & GHOST

Ingredients:

(Makes 2 medium dozen cookies)

1 cup butter, softened

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

1 egg

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or oil paper towel on pan.

Mix the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 1 minute.

Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and beat until combined.

Add in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and mix again.

Add in food dye, a tsp at a time with desired color and mix thoroughly before adding more.

Flatten dough with roller onto flat surface with flower and use cookie cutter to press into dough.

Gently move formed dough onto paper or pan, about 2" apart. Sprinkle cookies with sugar one last time and bake for 10-11 minutes, or until cookies have set.
