HOW I ANNOTATE BOOKS

One of my favorite things to do when reading is take notes. There are so many ways to do it which makes it even more fun.

Some of us have a bad relationship with reading due to the pressures that were put on us in school. Note-taking and page annotation was something that helped me get back into it.

One of the techniques I use when reading is page marking. I have a ton of sticky page tabs with different colors at each end. I like to have on color represent something. For instance: quotes I like, funny moments, themes, and pages I want to read again later. There are so many ways you can do it.

Reading should be fun. It should spark something inside you that promotes curiosity and wonder. I think we put too much pressure on what we think reading should be rather than using it as a moment to dive into your creativity.
