Rental Powder Room Makeover!

We live in a rental. We are also in the process of looking for the perfect piece of land to build, but we’re been here 2.5 years so far. And I gotta say, we absolutely lucked out because the property and home is absolutely gorgeous. It just needed a little updating. Home decor is my thing (okay I have a lot of things, but it’s up there with my faves) and even though we don’t own the house, I NEEDED to feel “at home” while living here. If you get it, you get it.

The main floor powder room needed a little work. And I’m not talking demo; again, it’s a rental and there’s only so much we can do here and also so much we’d WANT to do here. Putting work and a lot money into the house wouldn’t make much sense (even though I have spent money on paint and some fixtures that we can’t take with us in the future but I promise, the cost of rent makes up for it).

Just about everything I’ve done here has been surface level, including the powder room. For starters, I hung some ticking wallpaper (gifted to me by my good friend, Mary-Cathryn at Copper Corners Art. She has a beautiful selection of wallpapers and art) I painted the vanity black and switched out the hardware which I rub n buffed and antiqued. I added some floating shelves, switched out the mirror and hung a new light fixture above it and there you have it! A demo free refresh!
