HIT OR MISS: BEDROCK BAR & GRILL 😍✨

a few days ago i went to celebrate my best friend’s birthday at bedrock bar and grill @ pan pacific serviced suites orchard! and i’m gna be reviewing our meal there 😻 total price of the meal for 2 of us was $244 btw - i do know they charged for the bottle of still water we got, but truthfully i forgot to check how much it was… 😿 i’m so sorry… ON TO THE REVIEW THOUGH! 🎉🎉🎉

🎀 before you dine: reservations aren’t necessary, but if you do want to secure a spot, there is a $30 reservation hold on your card in case of no show! free cancellation is allowed 24h before your reservation time! we went during lunch hours and it wasn’t really crowded, but still decently half filled. dinner will probably be a lot busier so best to reserve!

🎀 food:

dry aged usda t-bone @ 500g, $98

it was a super big portion honestly, even for my friend who’s doing NS and has a really big appetite (he even finished my burger for me 😔), he admitted that the portion was really big and super worth the price! the sauce was flavourful and it was just a really solid steak with a really solid portion for the price, will highly recommend!

chopped steak burger, $38

i got this because i was craving a burger so badly and i had steak the previous night with my boyfriend! it was SO good?!? like, i don’t love a lot of beef burgers if i’m being honest but this burger was 100% so good. i think that i loved too is that it doesn’t have pickles… i hate it when beef burgers have pickles… the chopped steak patty was so freakin juicy and the burger bun wasn’t soggy or anything it was really really perfect. the FRIES stole the show IMMEDIATELY because wtf they were so so crispy and hot and the right amount of salty!!!

my friend and i couldn’t stop snacking on the fries because they were soooo good and i think i lowkey got full off eating all the fries

🎀 drinks:

starward smash, $18

if you love your whisky based drinks, my friend says that it’s rly fucking good and it was really refreshing. i’m not a fan of hard liquor / mixers so i didn’t really LOVE it, but i have to admit that it’s very refreshing la. i think me 2 years ago when i was in my young club and drinking phase would have loved it… HAHAH

a glass of casas del toqui, ‘single estate’, merlot, $13

nothing much to say, it was a really good glass of red wine. it was light, which i love once again. good pairing with the steak! 😍

🎀 dessert: separate section cuz i freaking LOVE my desserts…

bedrock crumble with vanilla ice cream, $28

the portion is MASSIVE, on the menu it already says it can feed 2-3 pax. we…failed to finish it cause wow it was huge… in my opinion at least. it’s really nice, authentic apple crumble! i think for me personally, i much prefer apple TARTS, because the crumble made it super messy. ultimately, however, it did satiate my craving for a sweet dessert and it was still nice to take a few bites of. confirm jelak after a while though :c must share w 2/3 other people imo

chocolate birthday cake, $0

it was my friend’s birthday and i indicated in my reservation, so they gifted us a free cake! it was blackberry chocolate if i’m not wrong, and it tasted alcohol infused but i can’t confirm that. it was a really cute gesture <3 i think they have an alternative complimentary dessert because i saw some people receiving different things! so you might get something different from this!

🎀 staff:

staff were so friendly, and offered to help us take pictures + they also helped us take a polaroid photo and framed it for us! (@ last slide)

it can be a bit hard to call for their attention sometimes cause of the way the restaurant is built, and they sometimes have to head to the outside area to settle some stuff (like the bills or new customers). but it really doesn’t take long for them to swing by in case you need help, just wait till someone is in your vicinity to try calling them!

🎀 ambience:

it was quite cozy, we got the sofa seat which was lovely and comfortable! overall quite a nice place, not too loud but you can hear chatter in the background which is honestly quite warming to me because i love when people talk in this digitalised world <3 i think it’s the ultimate cozy dining spot hehe

i’m not sure if they charge for tap water, which u can try asking for. i just asked for a bottle of still water 😇

overall, i think it’s worth visiting this restaurant. it’s also so central you can walk around and shop after! we went to orchard plaza to shop around thrift stores after that hehe. i also think the price is reasonable for the quality of service and food that we got <3 will go back and you know what that means…

OVERALL: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A HIT!!
