Genre: Supernatural thriller/horror

Synopsis: Mallory accepts a job as a nanny for a well to do family. This job is her big break through her addiction recovery journey. Teddy is five years old and has developed a knack for drawing. As Teddy and Mallory spend their days together, his drawings become increasingly disturbing. Soon Mallory is on a journey to piece together Teddy’s drawing and find out what’s really going on with this “perfect” family.

My Opinion: First and foremost, the pictures throughout this book… WOW. What a unique and interesting way to read. I was so captured at how the author incorporated drawings into the story at the perfect time.

I had a lot of fun piecing together the mysteries with Mallory. The book kept me guessing until the end.

I did find Mallory’s character to be annoying sometimes and I thought that certain instances were too unbelievable, even for this story. I don’t want to give anything away, but I felt like these situations were included to keep the story moving rather to keep building the story… if that makes sense.

Overall I would highly recommended this book, especially for spooky season! 👻
