Is he just being friendly??

Remember the guy that I shared previously, we did exchanged a few texts sometimes when we chat on work messaging app or replies to his ig stories.

A progress that we had is....he nows follow me back, so which means he can view my stories.

Our conversation is still mainly about food and nothing else. Sometimes when he replies my message, he will tend to share slightly a bit more, which will make me overthink sometimes (but he could probably just being friendly >_< )

We had some alone time when queuing for lunch. I know it is such a rare opportunity to talk to him more since we dont really interact during work. But being someone who is not really good with conversations, I dont really know what to talk to him other than work and sometimes I just awkwardly use my phone.

So another side story is, he asked me if I would be in office today but I said no. End up, I appeared in office. He was surprised to see me and even walked over to ask me why I was in office. The funny thing is my brain was so tired that I was a bit laggy in giving response and he even called out my name to wait for my reply. What makes me overthink here again is....I wasnt the only one around and he only asks me why I am in office. Am I thinking too much again??

Honestly, I am interested to know him and don't mind any progress but I just dont know how to progress.
