Best things about my wedding!

Overall we adored our wedding! We selected basically everything from the playlist to the food with so much intention.

A few more things we loved that aren’t pictured/mentioned above:

-Mixed gender wedding party. Our officiant is nonbinary. My wife’s side had all guys, my side had 2 women and one guy. We’re not very traditional, so the only thing was we wanted even numbers.

-We had a color scheme of burgundy and blush pink, each being one of our favorite colors.

-We both wore similar gowns. I knew she picked a dress because she asked if I minded both of us having one, but otherwise I knew nothing.

-We had some of our photos taken at the park where we got engaged, some at the bar where we met, and the rest at our venue.

-Our photographer was also a lovely queer woman, which made both of us more comfortable.

If I had to change anything, I would have spoken up about my makeup and had more ideas of what I wanted the day of. I tend to be pretty easy going with this kind of stuff, but it would have been fine to be a bit pickier for an event like that. I also wish a few other people could have come, but overall I’m so glad about our guest list. Both parents showed up for each of us, which is not something I take for granted. #lgbtq🌈 #wedding #queerwedding #lesbian #sapphic
