RENTING A CAR w 1< year of driving exp 🚙

You may wonder if there are any car-sharing services that allow new drivers (with less than 1 year of experience) to rent a car, especially if you’re experiencing any of the following:

🚙 You do not have a family car to practice your driving skills right after passing driving school

I am still a P-plate driver and was fortunate enough to come across Tribecar, a pioneer car-sharing company that offers new drivers the opportunity to drive a selection of their cars. Booked a car under the Standard Sedan P-Plate Category, from 3pm to 11pm on a Sunday (Prices are usually higher on weekends), with a total spend of $97.65 after new driver surcharge (30%). Price would be around $67.20 for this case if I were an experienced driver (with driving experience above 2 years).

Overall, it was a pleasant experience especially when it was my first time driving ALONE, along with driving my parents and boyfriend around. I was completely drenched in anxiety when driving along the highway and town area at night. But so glad I’m able to push through the challenge.
