JB Lok Lok supper spot - worth visiting? 🍢🧐

Eating lok lok for supper is a MUST when visiting JB, but with so many around, which ones are really worth visiting? 🤔

On my recent trip, I made a visit to Fa Ge Lok Lok, since I saw that their reviews on Google Maps were pretty impressive (4.6/5 stars). So here’s my honest opinion on whether it’s worth the hype! 😗🍢

🍢 ATMOSPHERE: 9/10

I actually really liked the seating and atmosphere of the supper place because it’s so chill and JB-style; it’s so hard to come across such an outdoor, eat-by-the-food-truck environment in Singapore anymore. Being able to chill and eat with friends under the starry night sky was quite the experience!

🍢 FOOD: 6/10

The first few bites were good, but after a while they were extremely salty and oily (& a little over-fried too). Not sure if it was just a one-time thing or if their loklok is consistently like this tho. I would say this is decent loklok but I’ve had much better even in SG! If you’re really looking to come here just for the loklok, then maybe somewhere else might be better!

🍢 SELECTION/VARIETY: 7/10

They had decent selections but due to the manpower, it took a while for them to restock the fridge and we didn’t manage to order some of the items we wanted as they were sold out at the moment.

🍢 DRINKS: 6/10

They mostly served chilled canned drinks (in styrofoam boxes), not much of a selection and don’t provide ice either. But I’m not rlly complaining bc that’s rlly just the vibes of the place and how it’s really a casual supper spot!

OVERALL VERDICT:

Would I go again? Only if everyone is looking for a place to chill and talk over finger food. It was rlly a nice atmosphere and environment, but the food really wasn’t that great! I wouldn’t go there if I’m just looking for a good loklok place! 😗
