I am excited to lose the baby weight.
That’s not a lie.
But I am not pressuring myself to lose the baby weight, or lose it at a certain speed.
There are so many other things that are more important to me then losing the baby weight quickly.
1: having a good milk supply
2: resting
3: nourishing my body
4: enjoying life
Because I want to be able to do all these things, while also losikg the baby weig jt, I know it will be a slow journey. But unlike what social media tells you, slow weight loss is actually the best way for it to go!
I have lost 50-60 lbs postpartum twice before, and Il do it again by focusing on
1: making most if not all my food from scratch, whitj high quality ingredients.
2: focusing around mainly eating protien and sticking to 1 ingredient foods
3: not over eating or over indulging just for taste
4: moving my body often, and working on an exercise routine to help pull my muscles back together that have separated and loosened during pregnancy.
I know the weight loss will take time. And that’s ok. I don’t owe anyone a skinnier body, a smaller body, or a societally acceptable body.
But I do owe myself the body that I want. A healthy and strong body. A body I feel comfortable in, a body I am proud of. A body that can easily care for 3 beautiful baby boys.
So that’s exactly what I’m going to work towards.
