My Controversial Political Views as a Mom

My life is good. It’s happy. It’s joyful.

And it’s curated to be that way.

I don’t watch the news, I don’t stay “updated” on all the politics. I keep political posts out of my feed and for you page.

I pray for the world and the lost souls. And I focus on my family and my community.

These are the people who’s lives i can change.

These are the people I can serve and love.

My home is the only environment I can truly control, and I want to do my best at that.

Having a stressed out, anxious and depressed mother/wife/friend is not going to help anyone.

So here’s your sign to turn off the tv. Shut off your phone.

Get dressed up. Make a meal. Love on your kids. Get a coffee with your best friend. Spend some time in the sun. Pick up that hobby you left off.

Life is far too short to spend stressing out all day over things you cannot change and people you cannot help.

Of course this doesn’t mean I don’t stay updated on things I can change.

I think voting is important and educating yourself on the right candidate is very important.

But it’s important to know the difference between being politically educated and letting politics & world events control & destroy your happiness.

So change what you can change. Help those that you can help.

Spread love & kindness to those around you, because that’s enough to change the world.
