I have always been someone who took health very seriously.
I started working out and staying active at a young age.
learned to cook and bake from scratch and always made it my goal to make my own food because of the preservatives and dyes in store bought food.
I have always been interested in holistic health and using holistic measures to try to prevent illness and disease.
But after joining the internet i realized I was not anyway near “crunchy enough” to join the crunchy community.
And that’s ok.
I still consider myself healthy (holistic, crunchy… whatever you want to call me)
I just do it my own way.
And I am often called out for this. My food, clothing, and sometimes even the toys my kids play with are constantly nitpicked but the crunchy community.
I know they are just trying to help but honestly, what they don’t realize is that we are a 4 (almost 5) person household living off of one income in THIS economy.
I would love to afford organic fruits, Montessori toys, and 100% linen or cotton clothing. But that’s a little above our pay grade,
And that’s ok.
God had given us a spirit of power, not of fear.
I do not let these things control me or my happiness.
I make the best decisions that I can for my family, and sometimes this include M&M cookies for the family or a trip to Starbucks for a mommy self-care treat… guilt free.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
