I have been to a lot of nature spots in Seattle but this has to be my FAVORITE! This spot is perfect for a day trip! Located only 45 min from Seattle, this will be my go-to swim spot this summer! The water was so cold when we jumped in but we were able to stay in for 3 minutes! Apparently, polar plunges have mental and physical health benefits, but Iโll have to report back on that after I do more research! Either way, it is fun to do something mentally tough like treading water in freezing water because afterward, I felt so refreshed!
There is a $5 entry fee but the woman accepts cash or credit card! There is a parking lot across the street so that is really nice to easily walk across! There are a lot of stairs and slippery rocks so I recommend aqua shoes or shoes with grip (I wore my slides lol).
There are SO many hikes and nature spots you can check out when you are in Seattle but I have narrowed it down to THREE hikes you MUST do when in Seattle!!! They are varying levels of difficulty but the views are incredible!!!
RattleSnake Ledge Trail:
The least demanding for the largest payout! Although this is often a busy trail and one of Seattles most popular, it is not over rated! I am never disappointed with this hike and view! I do this hike at least once a year! Plus its very short drive so perfect for an afternoon hike!
2. Green River Gorge: The only downside of the this nature spot is that it costs $5 to enter but trust me, it is all worth it! A short walk (not much of a hike) and you are immersed in a PNW Wonderland! A must see! Great for a chill day in nature or picnic!
3. Heybrook Lookout: Okay to be honest, its not the easiest hike out there but very short hehe so you only suffer a little and the view is incredible! It can be very crowded at the top of the lookout but this is a great spot for a sunset because the mountains are INSANE!
