probably the best meal i’ve ever had in bkk and one that i’ll definitely return to whenever i am there. it is a restaurant setting so prices are at a higher end but still very affordable. picked the dishes based on their recommended food list and they were all so so good 😍 i dont have a fav dish cause i loved them all!!! they run different promos like 1 for 1 drinks, set meals at a cheaper price etc - like our sea bass set was 235 THB (8.80 SGD) so do keep a look out for them! we went there on a weekday evening and not all tables were filled, but you can make reservations easily via their website

Ann Guay Tiew Kua Gai

the person who came up with this dish is just a genius - like who knew fried rice noodles could taste this amazing 🤯 and there’s just something about thailand’s rice noodles that makes it sooo chewy. just imagine, crispy on the outside but chewy when you bite it 🤤 one thing to note is that this michelin bib gourmand place has weird operating hours (2pm - 11pm) so we went to Nai Mong Hoi Thod for their michelin bib oyster omelettes first before heading over for a proper meal

Hotaru 119 Omakase & Izakaya - Sanampao

14-course omakase at 999 THB++ (amounted to about 44 SGD) SIGN ME UP PLEASE!!! 🙋🏻‍♀️ it’s a price that you can never get in sg. i havent had omakase in a long while so i’ve lost touch on how it should be or can be like but overall, i really enjoyed the entire experience - the sashimi was of good quality, dishes were quite innovative, and there was a fair amount of interaction to keep you engaged throughout the session.

hotaru 119 has a total of 3 outlets but we picked the one at sanampao because of its high reviews. to make reservations, you’d need to line them (check out their ig for their line id). they’ll then let you know the different course options. once you’ve decided, you’ll need to make a deposit with them via a payment link which they’d send through (can be paid via credit card). after the omakase, you’ll then pay the remaining amount - most outlets only accept cash so you’d need to prep accordingly.

on weekdays, they also have the 14-course omakase at 799 THB++. the diners next to us opted for the 15-course omakase which was at 1,499 THB++ and we noticed the main difference was that they switched up certain dishes and served quite huge chunks of uni

will definitely love to try other omakase places in bkk 💖

Pier 21 (Terminal 21 Asok)

if you have limited days and a tight budget, this place is just perfect! pier 21 is the food court located in terminal 21 and they serve a variety of thai food at a super affordable pricing in a clean, air-conditioned environment. we ordered pork knuckle rice (43 THB / 1.60 SGD) papaya salad (29 THB / 1.08 SGD), hor fun (35 THB / 1.30 SGD), and pad see ew (35 THB / 1.30 THB). portions were slightly smaller but i mean, you can almost enjoy a buffet here. just note that the papaya salad might be a little spicy for some (we ordered less spicy but my partner was still sweating buckets hahaha). i also ordered the hor fun by mistake - order the pad see ew instead!! the hor fun was alright but we thought that it could be more warm.

payments are done through a food court card so you’d need to top up cash into the card beforehand at the kiosk. dont worry about the amount deposited cause money unspent can be cashed out!
