i stayed in pratunam area and happened to chance upon this place on grabfood. it has thousands of reviews and we were starving cause we just landed so we decided to just order from them. it turned out to be one of my favourite meals in bkk 😍 the best was really the dried tom yum wontons (75 THB / 2.88 SGD). it was so good that i ordered again on my last night in bkk. the tomyum noodles were nice but i thought it could be less sweet; clear soup one was better! ✨ tip: check out the grab codes! there are many grab promos in thailand and we managed to snag a code that allowed us to enjoy 30% off our next 2 grab rides (so we used it for our ride to the airport - super worth!!)

thong sweet by thong smith 🍌

for the longest time, we’ve been wondering “where is thong sweet??!” then we finally realised that it’s part of thong smith. we had the lady finger banana fritters (95 THB / 3.65 SGD) and i really cannot describe how amazing these banana fritters were!! the batter was crispy and light - i kept munching on the crumbs. bananas used were a little different from our usual - slightly stickier just like lady fingers. people typically head to thong smith for their boat noodles which i dont deny were good - but i thought they were a little pricey and i could probably get a similar one at a much cheaper price at another random bkk shop

got the horii midori matcha latte (150 THB / 5.76 SGD) - supposedly medium but it was like the most GAO matcha i ever had in my life 😂 loved it tho! but if you want something lighter, i would suggest trying AROON cafe instead. they’re also priced slightly cheaper (120 THB / 4.61 SGD). me loveeeeeeee matcha and i tried matcha latte at 5 different places in bkk 💚 tbh, they were all pretty amazing so do get them if you’re a matcha lover and happen to be in bkk!

after you 🐏

you’ve not visited bkk if you did not have after you!! think this place needs no explanation and i have it every time i’m in bkk. it’s great that they have a mini option so you don’t have to gobble down the full-sized kakigori (265 THB / 10.17 SGD) by yourself

food plus ➕

food plus is like an outdoor sheltered food court in siam and it’s truly a gem! they have a variety of food choices and the food were really affordable - our pig leg rice and pad see ew were 50 THB each (1.90 SGD)! my partner had the pig leg rice and he really enjoyed it. as for the pad see ew, i didn’t have the chance to try it from other stalls, but i would think most would taste pretty similar and omg the kway teow in thailand is just so chewy (i loveeeee😍😍😍) most menus are in thai, so be prepared to use google translate to communicate with the stall owners.

🥪 also, i dont have a photo but the sandwich toasts from 7 eleven were GREAT! they even toast them for you so that they’re crispy. it’s a super good and tasty snack if you happen to be hungry while doing your shopping
