6 things to do before your international trip ✈️🌏

Preparing for an international trip is no joke as there are SO many things to think about that you don’t consider on a daily basis! 🌏

Here are 6 important things that I do (& you should too!) before leaving the country:

CHECK YOUR PASSPORT 📖

What a nightmare it would be to plan & book an entire trip just to arrive in the airport & listen to the gate attendant tell you that your passport is expired or invalid for travel!!!

CHARGE ALL DEVICES 🔋

There’s nothing worse than needing to call an Uber or contact your Airbnb host in a foreign country on 10% phone battery. Charge up!

RESEARCH ELECTRICITY & OUTLETS 🔌

Outlets are different depending on what country or area you’re visiting! Make sure you have the proper outlet adapter before leaving the country as well as hot tools that are the correct voltage.

CHECK BAGGAGE SIZING 🧳

Check to see what airlines you’ll be flying on & make note of their carry-on & personal item measurements. Then measure your bags to make sure they fit the requirements.

KNOW THE VISA REQUIREMENTS ✈️

Depending what country you go to, you may need to get a visa ahead of time; however, some countries allow you to spend a certain number of days there without a visa.

TAKE CASH OUT OF THE BANK 💸

Unless you have a a travel credit card, you should take cash out of your bank so that you can convert it to your destination country’s currency upon arrival. Paying in cash will allow you to avoid international credit card fees. Even if you do have a travel credit card, still take a little cash out. A lot of small places only take cash payment.
