Late to reading this trilogy but finally getting around to it! I was looking for a quick read to hold me over until Iron Flame comes out on Tuesday. 🤭

I’m not usually a YA reader but this was a good change of pace. There’s not a ton of world building and is easy to follow along. It is definitely more on the sweet and fluffy side of the fantasy genre. Personally, I like books with more spice/tension/“touch her and I’ll kill you” aspects and felt like this book was lacking all three (so maybe I shouldn’t be reading YA lol). The pace of the book was slow in my opinion but did start to pick up more towards the end.

Overall, still looking forward to book 2! I have a feeling there is going to be some more romance in this one 🤞🏻Houston
