summers in wisconsin ☀️

here’s just a little taste of what summers are like in wisconsin!!

of course this isn’t super realistic, like obviously most of my summer is typically spent at work, but every once in a while it’s nice to get out and just enjoy the nice weather and the beauty of the state i live in!

my summer favorites:

- weekends on the lake, kayaking and tubing and swimming and walking and having bonfires in Shay Lake

- road-trips to go see bigger artists at the bigger venues in wisconsin, like The Sylvee in madison or The Rave / Eagles Club in milwaukee

- trips to the zoo to see the animals and get treats (i recommend Milwaukee County Zoo but that wasn’t my local zoo growing up)

- beach and shopping and dinner days in Door County

- summerfest! going there for a weekend to go see some great live music, do some shopping, and enjoy the atmosphere at Summerfest | Presented by American Family Insurance

- taking road trips to the middle of nowhere to watch the northern lights or see star showers

- road-trips! i’ve been on several to just about every corner of wisconsin!

- local concerts at farmers markets, levitt amps (i don’t know if they have these elsewhere, but in wisconsin they’re free local concerts in parks!), or local shows! i like Farmers Market On Broadway and Fowler Lake Park

- drive-in movies! Stardust Drive in Movie Theater or The Shawano Cinema & MORE!! are both places to see a good movie for cheap!
