💬|| Toxic workplace, toxic boss

Real talk — been at my first job for 5 years now (first workplace too). I’m feeling drained and honestly lost in this toxic environment.

My boss shows favoritism, stirs up drama between colleagues, throws shade during meetings and gives off super passive-aggressive vibes when she’s in a bad mood. When it comes to career progression, she’s no help—no advice, no support, just threats. She even asked me to transfer or look into other organisations if the title "Senior _____" is what I'm looking for. She leaves me out of discussions during meetings, and even when I try to do my best, she downplays my efforts and says that's the bare minimum I should be doing. No opportunities come my way because she’s only looking out for her favorites (usually the senior roles). Feels like if you’re not in a senior role, you don’t matter to her.

It’s like nothing I do is enough to be appreciated or given a chance to shine. I’m tired of the gossips, the gaslighting, and the constant tension.

Anyone been through this? How did you handle it? Is it time for me to bounce, or do you think there’s another way to deal with this? 💭

Honestly, the idea of changing jobs scare me. Afterall this is my first workplace and I've been here for 5 years........ 😭😭I feel super trapped here......
