Ingredients:

1 can (15 ounces) of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup of tahini paste

1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)

2-3 tablespoons of olive oil

1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon of paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup of water (more if needed)

Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth.

While the food processor is running, slowly add in water until the desired consistency is reached. If it's too thick, add more water.

Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning to your preference.

Serve with vegetables, pita bread, or crackers.
