Is it worth to go on an overseas trip with school?

I’m here to share my experience on overseas school trip! Is it really worth the money 💵?

Overview:

airline + insurance: $715.07

accommodation + tour guide: 2630 RMB (~$526)

Total cost: $1,241.07

we went there last year in September 2023! But I do have to say it’s really worth the experience when you’re currently schooling especially for my school where they spoil us for overseas trip just need the Kaching 💰

Chengdu, China was really one of the place I love the most after the whole school trip not forgetting the exchange rate 🤭 but the food and places were so insta-worthy and worth every penny of your money!

I was a year 1 going with year 2s in my school and at first I was nervous because they all had cliques and I was the few year 1 who got accepted into the overseas trip but through this trip I made so much memorable memories and friends!!

So if ever your school drops you an overseas trip just YOLO it and really go for the experience cause you won’t even know if you will ever go to the country by yourself or with friends! (Disclaimer: look at the overview of the price and consider first, some trips might be a little not worth🧐👀)

The last picture was just a part of my shopping haul in Chengdu 🤧 the pandas were a must buy please and I went to the 宽窄 area where there was this famous 小红书 （网红爷爷）shop and the queue was insane because he really sells all the panda at such cheap prices!! I got like the loots on the last slide with this medium 七仔 for like RMB 65 ($13) for so much panda items, my jaw dropped when his worker told me that and I had to even re confirm if it was that cheap 😮

Really just go for it and not be afraid!! I’m going on my next school trip to Japan 🇯🇵 so look out for more ❣️
