DID I REGRET SPENDING SO MUCH ON MY WEDDING? 😅

While I had my fair share of bad moments during my AD (see my previous post), here are 5 things I’m super thankful and pleased that I have accomplished for my wedding! Although a tad expensive, it’s once in a lifetime!

💕 1. Wedding Car Rental - Limousine

Call me overdramatic all you want, but like I said, I’m going all out since it’s a once in a lifetime thing. I chartered a Chrysler 300 super-stretched limo for 5 hours with chauffeur + flower deco day the day before my AD and it was the BEST DECISION EVER. We had so much fun shots with it and we were literally the centre of attention at the hotel with many tourists taking pictures of it and on the road 😂😂😂 I was told that there were only less than 8 in Singapore and I was so glad to be able to ride on it!!

Tip: As it’s a super stretched Limo, plan your route in advance to ensure the road can accomodate!

💕 2. Custom Wax Seal Stamp

I customized a wax seal stamp from shopee (@lewellstamp.sg) with my partner and my name on it and bought the whole set to seal our invitation cards! It was an additional effort for personal touch for the wedding invite!

💕 3. Wedding Live Band

It just adds an extra element of personalization with the songs and remember to keep those dedication cards with well wishes! 🫶🏻 I chose a 3 piece band (1 Female & 1 Male singer + 1 Instrumentalist) to keep it affordable yet able to duet couple songs! My march in song was “谢谢你爱我” and had the liveband change the lyrics from 谢太太 to my partner’s surname 😚

Tip: Design your own dedication cards with Canva etc to make sure they are in themed instead of using the vendor’s dedication cards to make it more personalized and special!

💕 4. Custom backdrop

I’m a huge pikachu fan and to gel my wedding in Nov, i decided on a winter wonderland theme and incorporated the blue of it! I worked with the brilliant vendor with my inspo of Pokemon fonts and the deco I wanted. After just one revision, they delivered on point 💯! && you are able to keep the cut outs. I kept my bride and groom pikachu!!

Tip: Do a moodboard with the colour palette you want and give as many examples as you can! Pinterest and 小红书 will be your best friend

💕 5. Fun mini games with prizes

As I’m a huge pikachu fan, I bought face-changing pokemon as an extra “doorgift” on top of a lucky draw. I catered about 60-70 of them with over 180 guests so about 1/3 of them got it as a bonus! It was really such a joy to see them loving the gift!
