Having a baby is hard I definitely don’t disagree. I have a few tricks that made my delivery wayyy smoother than normal, my OBGYN was impressed. If you’re soon to give birth or just want to know for next time here are a couple tips I did before and after my natural delivery. ( I didn’t use any medication or get an epidural )

- Around 34-35 weeks I began doing perineal stretches. These can be done alone or with your partner, be sure to start with the bare minimum until you’re comfortable stretching the skin a little more, it shouldn’t hurt but will be a little uncomfortable. If this is your first pregnancy it will be very new but remember to use lubricants if needed and be extremely gentle. My partner would also help me once I wasn’t able to reach lol! I swear by these if you want little to no tearing.

- YOGA 🧘‍♀️ Ball!!! Pleaseeee ladies get on that ball and bounce and rock those hips all day, this is going to help relieve pressure on your sciatic nerve and open up those hips to help baby come down. I used a yoga ball alllll the way from 30 weeks and up.

- At 38-39 weeks I began drinking a mixture of coconut water, red leaf tea, and pineapple juice. I wanted to be extremely hydrated and I believe drinking red leaf tea can help soften your cervix for baby to come easier.

- Please look up breathing exercises for labor and delivery, I used the J breathing technique for birth and during my contractions I had to focus heavily on controlling my body and managing the pain, I did not scream cry or fuss I just kept a calm and collected mindset so I didn’t stress the baby.

- If you want baby out ASAP ( I was 40 weeks and 2 days ) I wanted my daughter in my armssss already LOL! I did the curb walking, S*X, baths, and deep squats, also drank chamomile tea to get her out. She came the next day.

*disclaimer* I had a labor plan and stuck to it thankfully I was able to, I did have complications after birth unrelated to these tips and methods. My daughter is and was completely healthy and is now 9 months old.
