I recently went on a trip to San Diego, CA and while there is so much sightseeing to enjoy there, the food scene is just as impressive!🍕🌮🍝🥞

From incredible brunch spots to authentic tacos to mouth-watering Italian food, San Diego has so much to offer for foodies!

Here are 7 eatery recommendations that are definitely worth the visit:

1) The Taco Stand $

The Taco Stand is one of the most popular taco spots in San Diego, and for a good reason! They have multiple locations, and the photo shared in this slide is from their La Jolla one. The tacos are all incredible and freshly made on site right in front of you. The churros are also a must if you want a sweet treat. The prices are affordable and you can get a great meal here without breaking the bank. Out of all the tacos I have tried in SD, this spot is def my fav so far. The tacos cost $2.99 - $4.99 each, and the churros are $3.50 currently! 🌮

2)The Mission - Mission Beach $$

This is my favorite brunch spot in San Diego, and I have been to all three of their locations. I love the Mission Beach one as you are a super close walk to the beach from it. The setting is casual with table service. I recommend the pancakes, breakfast burritos, and avocado toast! Everything we have ever had here has been amazing. As a foodie-traveler, I love re-visiting this spot when I’m in San Diego! The Entrées are typically in the $12 - $18 range on average! 🥞

3) Cesarina $$

An absolutely beautiful Italian restaurant in San Diego that I went to for my birthday back in May. The ambience is stunning and I recommend sitting outside if the weather permits. Everything is fresh and the handmade pasta is a work of art! I enjoyed everything about this restaurant and would 1000% come back in the future when I’m in San Diego again. The fresh pasta dishes are in the $25 - $30 range on average! 🍝

4)Cali Cream Homemade Ice Cream $

If you are looking for yummy ice cream in the Gaslamp Quarter, then I recommend checking out Cali Cream! They have a great selection of homemade ice cream and I really enjoyed what I ordered. A single scoop/flavor in a cup is $5.75 currently!🍦

5) Casa de Reyes $$

Located in the historic Old Town San Diego area. The prices are slightly higher as this is in a more touristy location, but the food is still pretty yummy and the ambience is very festive! The entrées range from $12 - $20 on average!🌯

6) Parkhouse Eatery $$

Another excellent breakfast/brunch spot in San Diego serving sizable portions and fresh food! The service is very friendly and the ambience is casual and cute. Def recommend this spot! The brunch entrées typically range from $12 - $18 on average!🍳

7) Buona Forchetta - South Park $$

Another awesome Italian restaurant that is a must-try in San Diego! They offer fresh pasta dishes and amazing Neapolitan-style pizza (which is my fav)! I visited their South Park location and enjoyed the casual ambience and outdoor seating option. The pasta dishes and pizzas typically cost $16 - $20 on average!🍕
