The Cabin At The End Of The World by Paul Tremblay. Well well well Paul, we meet again. Unfortunately the outcome is the same as the last book I read from you. The plot is there. The idea is there. The execution is not. He is the epitome of “yes girl give us nothing!” There is something about his writing that I just do not mesh with. I feel like with a different author this book would’ve made me cry. It would’ve made me feel for these characters and I felt nothing. I liked that this was kind of a twist on the whole “what would you sacrifice to save the world.” Ive never seen the movie but the casting for Leonard in the movie was great. I thought of Dave the whole time I was reading! So the idea was good, but sadly I don’t think he is the author for me. I don’t think I will pick up anything else from him going forward. I’m giving this 2 out of 5 stars ⭐️
