I've been thinking a lot about stories lately. and loss. and love.

my best friend in the whole world passed away on 6/25/24. it was sudden and gut wrenching and awful and it hurts to think about.

my story isn't over.

just like a caterpillar, I feel my grief is forcing me into the state of a cocoon. when you think about it, a caterpillar also gets no choice in the matter. nature takes over and throws them into the transition.

I wonder if it's scary for them. it's scary to me.

but when I emerge, I hope to be forever changed, and that part, I'm not afraid of.
