Christmas Tree Cake Trifle 🎄

The movie playing is on Hallmark channel and is called Scouting for Christmas, and it’s about a baker 😍🍰 so of course I had to make something sweet 😉

Here’s the breakdown: (for a smaller trifle just cut everything in half)

2 packages of Christmas Tree Cakes

2 cups of heavy whipping cream

8 oz cream cheese

1/2 c powdered sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp almond extract

1-2 pints of strawberries, chopped into small pieces or sliced

Holiday sprinkles or glittery sugar

🎄 Chop the Christmas Tree cakes into small pieces, leaving 3 aside uncut

🎄In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Set it aside.

🎄In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and extracts until smooth.

🎄Gently fold in the whipping cream.

🎄In a trifle bowl, spread half of the chopped cakes at the base. Top with half of the whipped cream/cream cheese mixture. Spread half of the chopped or sliced strawberries on top of that.

🎄Add another layer of cake, berries, and cream. Note- you can layer this however you’d like! I did cake, cream and berries, and then cake, berries, and cream for mine :)

🎄You can totally leave the trifle as-is or top with sprinkles, glittery sugar, and the extra three cakes.
