Orange Creamsicle Layer Cake 🧡

I have to admit, I have missed making cakes. For those around here a bit, we used to do a ton of cake collabs on IG with different themes. I was making way too many then lol, but I’m going to try to add a few more in here and there.

My daughter picked this flavor based around the creamsicle Twizzlers. It has orange cake layers, whipped buttercream filling, orange vanilla frosting, and then of course the Twizzlers. I topped it with chocolate ice pops from a mold I had here and we were really happy with how it came out!

For the cake I used the recipe on the back + added 1 box of pudding mix, 1 extra egg, and 1 extra tbsp of oil.

The filling frosting was leftover for a project I did right before that. Any lighter vanilla frosting would work or even Swiss meringue buttercream.

The orange frosting is made with 2 sticks of butter, 4 cups of powdered sugar, 3-4 tbsp heavy cream, and 1 tsp vanilla.

The chocolate is Ghirardelli melts + Chefmaster candy color.
