How to impress in your interviews 👩‍💼

1. Arrived well-versed in professionalism

• Make sure that you are dressed professionally & appear tidy & put together. Don’t forget to keep your body language in check, including a firm handshake, proper posture, and facial expressions

2. Practice questions

• Practice answers in order to work on pulling up unique and well detailed answers at a moment’s notice. The silver lining here is to not sound like a broken record! Keep your responses natural and conversational, vary your answers and come prepared to defend your responses.

3. Come prepared with follow-ups

• Don’t let the interview be one-way! Be equipped with your own follow-up questions in order to continue a conversation & gather more information from the organization you are interviewing with!

4. Feign confidence - fake it ‘til you make it!

• This one goes a long way! No matter how insufficient you may feel, remind yourself of the reasons you were chosen for this interview and ride with that confidence as much as you can!

5. Show your personality

• Do your best not to just be another black and white applicant, but allow your personality to shine through and guide your conversation style. Bring out your unique traits and let yourself relax into who you are!
