#SpillTheTea: is Tolido’s really food-king good?

this cafe has been on my food bucket list for the longest time since Ben Kheng recommended it on food king years ago! i remember the crowds used to be insane when it first got awarded the food-king good title but you can definitely still expect a crowd even hp to today, especially on weekends nearing lunch hour.

what I ordered:

1. rosti w smoked salmon ($23)

loved that they gave different protein options, able to choose the sausage if you’re not a fan of smoked salmon! wished there was more options with the egg though as it comes with a sunny side up by default. scrambled egg would go better with the rosti in my opinion

2. laksa pasta ($19)

definitely fusion food done right!! really generous with the number of prawns given too, about 6 if I’m not wrong

3. iced latte ($6)

tastes great & comes in a big cup which makes me feel like I got my money’s worth!

4. flat white ($5.50)

👍🏼: quite affordable prices for cafe standard, most likely because it’s not in central/ CBD area but it’s still quite easily accessible as it’s about a 5 mins walk from lavender MRT

👎🏼: limited indoor seating and outdoor seating might be a bit warm on hot days! no reservations, walk-ins only

I’ve also heard many good things about their pandan pancakes but I didn’t have any more capacity to stomach it. will definitely be back to try it!
