EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT LIP INJECTIONS

I was debating for MONTHS whether or not to get lip injections. I finally caved in and went to a trusted injection nurse and have never felt more confident in my life! I wanted more volume and a proportion top and bottom lip. & a keyhole.

HOW MUCH I GOT- 1 Syringe

COST-$200 a full syringe. usually $600 but I won a giveaway for $400 off!

TYPE- JUVADERM

EXPECTED COST- varies around $200-800 depending on the medspa

*My injector even offers paying for a full syringe and saving 1/2 a syringe for a couple months for a touch up if you don’t want to go overboard your first time.

DAY ONE- CONSULTATION + INJECTION 1 HOUR

On my day one I came in for a consultation to help better access what look would be best for my face shape. I shared some inspiration photos and wanted to have a natural look. After the consultation, she was able to do my injections the same day! The consultation took about 30 mins and the injections were quick 15-30mins and I was done!

•you can feel the filler go in (a strange feeling but not painful a sharp zing)

•a very calming experience.

•make sure you do your research or talk to people about where they get their injections! I had a great experience and my injector really took her time

•to get the “keyhole” look she used a straw like tool to shape my lips so the filler would harden around the straw

• the juvaderm was NOT hard at all but the first few days you can feel the filler.

• once fully healed they feel like my natural lips!

DAY TWO- my day two I DEFINITELY looked like I had some lip filler but to be honest I loved the way they looked when they were swollen. Your results may differ and I was pretty sore but nothing crazy. If you have any big event I would recommend to maybe not go anywhere the first three days but luckily I had a quick healing experience because my lips took the infection really well. I will say my day two was the most swollen out of the first 5 days.

DAY THREE- I still went to class but was careful to not drink out of any straws or use my lips aggressively. Slightly less swollen and bruised.

DAY FOUR- I was pretty much fully healed! I love the way they look and felt amazing!

LIPS TODAY- After 10 months my filler has held it’s shaped but lost some volume. I found that when I put a lip injection gloss they look brand new! I’m definitely going to get a touch up soon (1/2 syringe) but it’s definitely not necessary lol. (I secretly love the swollen look)
