I have hair extensions…

I have been getting hair extensions for a few years now and they were a total game changer for me! I’ve tried different types/ methods and thought I would share my experience and what I liked/ didn’t like about each for anyone interested!

✨I-Tip Extensions: hundreds of individual extensions/ beads are applied all around the head

Pros:

- fullness in the front by the face (you can get closer to the face with this method)

- Seamless blend

- Can wear your hair up easily

Cons:

- need lots of bundles of hair (super expensive)

- Installations take about 2-3 hours and move ups take about an hour

- Easy for an extension to slip out

- Lasted about 10 months

⭐️ Review on this method: 7/10.

The installation and move ups take so much time and I prefer wefts so much more now

✨Brand used: Dream Catcher’s Hair

⭐️ Review on the hair brand: 8/10. Hair from this brand is expensive and now that I have tried other brands, I feel that the ends of this hair are on the thinner side

✨Volume WeftExtensions: 3 wefts are sewed onto 3 rows of breads

Pros:

- Easier to take care of (washing and styling)

- Hair is much thicker and fuller, so it lasts longer and you can buy less bundles

- More color options

- Installations take an hour and move ups take 15 mins

- Lasted 1 year - 14 months

Cons:

- You can not apply them super close to the face (less fullness in that area)

- Can get itchy if you have a lot of baby hairs

- A little more difficult to get a seamless blend (you need to go to a good hairstylist who is skilled)

⭐️ Review on this method: 9.5/10.

The installation and move ups are so quick and the upkeep is much easier. The only con is the lack of fullness around the face

✨Brand used: Bellami Hair

⭐️ Review on the hair brand: 9.5/10. Hair from this brand is super thick and the ends are full. It is expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

🦋OVERALL: I will continue to get Bellami Weft Extensions since I absolutely love them! Everyone’s hair type and aesthetic goals are different, so consult with a skilled hairdresser before making a decision!
