Books I think Rory Gilmore would read

Rory Gilmore is one of my favorite fictional characters. She is always reading books on the show, mostly classics! Since this show was set years ago, I got to thinking — what would Rory read nowadays?

I picked two contemporary books I think Rory Gilmore would really enjoy!

Sirens & Muses by Antonia Angress - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Art meets academia. Rory would be all over this one! It is set at an art school and has a subtle love story as well. There is some slight spice, be warned! It’s very high-brow and just the sort of thing I think Rory would enjoy.

Breast and Eggs by Mieko Kawakami - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If Rory expanded into Japanese literature, this is what I’d imagine her picking up! I think she would like this artful book from Kawakami and it’s just the sort of literary, no-plot all vibes book she would carry with her.
