A common trend lately has been people who dub themselves as “trainers” just because they had a successful fitness journey of their own. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And sure some of these people do go the extra mile to get certified, but there’s a huge difference between trainers that only know how to train themselves (aka they treat every client like they treated themselves and will only give people workouts that they would personally do) and this can work for some people, however the biggest key in turning this passion into a real career is knowing how to train anyone and everyone. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You have to be able to switch things up for clients with injuries, disabilities, or obesity, as well as clients who are younger or older, or have extremely limited range of motion.

These are things you typically don’t learn from training yourself because they’re things that come from experience, years of study, and lots of reading. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I think it’s important to remember that the best trainer for YOU, might not be the one with 10k followers on Instagram, or someone who has only had a good transformation in their own journey. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This isn’t to say that all “Instagram trainers” are bad, but if you’re debating purchasing a program or signing up for training with someone, don’t be afraid to do research and ask them questions if you can, because anyone who is truly experienced and doesn’t just want your money will make sure that you are going to be completely happy with their programs and results.
