Stay in Phuket gone WRONG!

Recently went for a 5D4N vacation to Phuket with my friends. We booked this Resort place which was relatively cheap. It turned out to be a huge mistake. We had to change room twice and downgrade to a smaller room due to how bad the conditions and cleanliness of the rooms were.

1st room:

First thought was that it looked haunted. The door had a loud creak when opening it. There was a big red-coloured, worn-out sofa and a huge wooden wardrobe. I was skeptical but put up with it still. Then, I open the bathroom door and was greeted by a FAT cockroach. We called the staff over to remove it and thought it was over. No it was not. After we went out to buy food after a short while, I wanted to wash my hands. I opened the bathroom door but this time there was not 1, not 2, but 3 adult cockroaches. It was too much so we requested a change of room but had to downgrade to a smaller room.

Room 2: Although the room looked cleaner, the air-conditioning was broken so it was really hot. There was also many black stains on the bedsheet. Since we were sweating so much we requested to another change of room.

Room 3: There were still black stains on the bedsheet but at least the air conditioning was working. The only issue was that the wifi was not working in that room but we were too sian and tired to care anymore.

Moral of the story:

Do not be a cheapskate when it comes to finding an accomodation! It was our mistake for not researching properly as it is our 1st time planning an overseas trip together. Do your research and read up on the reviews carefully! This is no resort... At least the staff were nice. Not sure if I should name the resort but if you are curious, you can dm to ask about it :)
