The day is finally here! Fed rate cut!

Singapore timing at 2am 19 Sep would be the first rate cut. So what would happen? There has been speculation on either a 25 bps or a 50 bps cut. Either way, I believed will spook the market in the short term and might get a good buying opportunity. So we will definitely have to see how the market reacts in this two weeks.

Well I do think regardless of the Fed cut, if in the event there really is a downward pressure in the market or a bearish sentiment, it won’t last long. There have been many investors who have been selling their stocks this year, and there are many sitting on cash right now. Example like Warren buffet. So even if the stock market crashes due to black swan event, the market will jump back up quickly.

Investors are sitting on cash and waiting to jump, that includes me too.

Be cautious and stay calm in buying into a bearish sentiment period.
