messages between a distant daughter and mother 🫠

as a girl who grew up with a very protective mother, a girl who was emancipated when she was 17 and hadn’t talked to her mother in 3+ years this is our latest conversation. present day, I have gone to see my younger siblings a few times since december for the first time in years. and my mother had questions. I shouldn’t have to add that she herself is a narcissist because mental illnesses do no define people. I myself am bipolar as is my father. however, coming from me and my story, from having to wear bows when I was little when I just wanted to chop wood and be like my big brother, to being locked in my mother’s basement when I was 17 for accusations that were not true, I personally think there’s at least one mother out there who needs to read this. I am a grown adult now with my problems and my own life. but she asked for some kind of reasoning and advice so I gave it to her. my hope is that some woman out there will hear me and raise her own daughter better than I was raised. some woman will listen to advice from a girl who was once a mothers baby girl.
