My Apartment Smells Like…🤮🙊

I’ve lived in this apartment for 2 years and it has always had a weird foul smell. It’s very hard to describe the smell, it’s almost a mix between stale ammonia and a sickly sweetness? It’s truly wretched. I haven’t smelled death but it’s what I would imagine it smells like. I’ve been trying to cover the smell with incense and sprays but it never really goes away. I’ve top to bottom cleaned the apartment multiple times and the smell always comes back. I’m starting to think it’s literally coming from the walls or the floors because I’m running out of ideas. I’ve been embarassed to have people over for so long because of this and I don’t know what to do. Anyone got tips for serious odor removal? The place needs a total scent cleanse.
