Navigating through my Grief

Today is my Papa’s Birthday. So i went to dinner, having Papa as my imaginary date.

We lost Papa in 2018 to cancer. It was a 2-year struggle. It may seem so difficult at that time, emotionally and financially draining and must be physically painful for my father. But now looking back, I believe that we just had enough time to say our good byes and spent the time we could as much as we can.

I thought so. But I was wrong. When he passed it was challenging. I would still cry every night. And to manage my grief, I would write him letters. This helped me.

Fast forward to today. There’s still an empty space in my heart. I would always miss him. But I choose to remember him with joy, pride and gratitude ✨
